My boy plays football on a pitch with Bodiam Castle in the background. It's a stunning spot.

Always loved Carreg Cennen for its picturesque setting, somewhat remoteness, and strange underground passageway.

Bamburgh in Northumberland is a real beauty. The way it commands the headland makes it a must see if you’re ever up that way, mate.

Same here...an obsession that has stayed with me. Not sure how the younger generation see them now....I hope the modern world hasn't turned them against them...

I’m sure a normal, healthy six-year-old would still see themselves a Knight, mate.

Yes. Alnwick and Warkworth are worth visiting too. Dustanburgh (I think) is a great way from Craster. Lovely part of the world-had a week in Alnmouth in 2017

Honourable mention for Tintagel. Well more than an honourable mention - it's in a cracking location and lovely part of the world, even if drowning under tourists nowadays.

Conwy castle

Had a great tour of Conwy Castle quite a few years back, the guide was very knowledgeable and could answer any questions asked. Blew a gale and chucked it down for the whole day. 🙄

Castell Penrhyn - does this count or too much of a pretend castle? Nice spot & interesting family history.
