Power Washers 18:53 - Mar 12 with 1304 viewsmagicdaps10

Now that I am virtually middle aged and my birthday is upon me, I requested a power washer for my 39th birthday. My wife went out and got me a nice Karcher unit and allowed me to use it early.

Boy these things are bloody good. What do you good people of PS think on power washers?

I know it is sad but as a middle aged, married dad of 2, this is where I am in life.

I’ve a Kärcher, very good indeed but a bit heavy and cumbersome (though others maybe the same?).

The dog’s bollocks. Light, easy, cheap, reliable, and has lasted years. Had a Bosch and Kärcher before this, both heavy, expensive, leaky and failed just out of guarantee. Of course this is based on a sample of one and I’m not licensed to give pressure washer advice....

Lidl’s today we’re selling a petrol power washer for 179 notes, looks a right beast, was considering getting one until reading reviews...not good.

Be careful. If you are too vigorous you will wash away the outer layer of block, brick, patio slab and possibly chase out any mortar.

The result will look great for a few months but it will come back dirtier and more algae ridden than before as the surfaces will be more porous than before.

Glad to help.

That's your Sunday mornings taken care of.
Also handy if E20 comes at you. Squirt him away.

Swansea Indepenent Poster Of The Year 2021. Dr P / Mart66 / Roathie / Parlay / E20/ Duffle was 2nd, but he is deluded and thinks in his little twisted brain that he won. Poor sod. We let him win this year, as he has cried for a whole year. His 14 usernames, bless his cotton socks.

Seconded. Gone through loads of Bosch and karchers in work and they're Shyte.

You can absolute batter a nilfisk and it'll still be going strong years later.

A 20 litre drum of hypochlorite is much more effective than a power washer and comes with the bonus of leaving your garden smelling like an ICI plant.

Definitely best handled in old clothes (and wellies & rubber gloves).

So nowadays a mid life crisis results in a man buying a power washer rather than a motorcycle or sports car. Times are tight!
