The Word "Legend" is bandied around way too easily nowadays.
Not in this case, Harry Griffiths was a True Swansea Legend, a real One Club Man.
Picked up the pieces when the Swans were at rock bottom after having to apply for re- election in the 1974/75 season. Built an exciting side with youngsters scoring over 90 league goals in the 1976/77 season, just missing out on promotion.
Laid the foundations for Toshacks success in the seasons ahead. Taken way too young.

Not 100% true Wingstand my friend, he played a lot of his time at inside forward. Switched to full-back later in his career. I remember him marking the great Stanley Matthews on one occasion. Harry never gave footballs first knight a kick. Of the ball that is. He did give him one or two of the other kind mind. | | | |
