Ok.

Well it IS worth pointing out.

When a nothing match like a friendly against Slovenia was allowed to be played at the Liberty a few years ago, with a second string Welsh team, the Swans support was criticized by the Welsh FA. They questioned the point of bringing games to the Liberty because the crowd was only around 10,000.

We can only guess at what the crowd would have been with a strong team out but it surely would have been 3/4/5000 more.

The match should've been in Wrexham, had 10k there sold out with weeks to go in March.

I didn't go to the game and that is only the second game I've missed of Wales at the CCS (the other being the first v Scotland in November 2009).

£20 for a friendly is too much, was £10 for years then we qualified and they upped it!

Should've been tournament ticket holders free/£5, discounts for members etc. but defo not £20 each.

Decent enough game though.

"The football fans of Swansea have done themselves no favours by once again not turning out for an international friendly."

I was surprised that there were around 2300 empty seats at Southampton tonight.
For a nation of 56 million that's a poor effort.
No wonder they didnt play at Wemberley.

Swansea Indepenent Poster Of The Year 2021. Dr P / Mart66 / Roathie / Parlay / E20/ Duffle was 2nd, but he is deluded and thinks in his little twisted brain that he won. Poor sod. We let him win this year, as he has cried for a whole year. His 14 usernames, bless his cotton socks.

Was that the actual quote ? From the FA ? Just proves my point doesn't it. Has there been any criticism of the crowd by the FA this time ? I've seen nothing. Which makes you think, quite reasonably, that they don't want to be critical because it undermines their policy of it has to be Cardiff because that's where the support is.

The ticket price didn't help but still a rubbish turn out.

Agree, pricing structure could have been better, considering it was a Monday night and they had just played at home on the Friday.
Wrexham was already taken for the U21 matches.
Still made the journey up tho, 2 cars from Llanelli.

I'm sorry, but going against the grain here,i'm as anti Cardiff as anyone, but at £20 for an adult ticket to watch Wales play Belarus in a friendly on a Monday night with the game live on sky, I fail to see how we would have attracted a crowd significantly more than attended at the CCS. If we'd attracted that crowd at all if i'm honest!

Swansea attracted 7888 v notts county on a could winter's evening despite the game being live on terrestrial TV and opposed to sky which most people do not have.

I meant to read as we travelled from Llanelli to Cardiff on the Monday night.

I was under the impression Wrexham is now the home for the U21 games?
