Christmas Meat. 19:43 - Nov 30 with 2597 views | lifelong | Where are the good people of Planet Swans purchasing their Christmas meat this year? Personally, for the past 6 months or so, I have been buying meat from Hugh Phillips butchers in Swansea market..superb quality, so that is my choice.

We've been cutting back on meat, not going veggie or vegan but cutting down to save the planet so it'll just be a small chicken and a leg of Ham from the butchers on the enterprise zone.

Christmas Meat. on 20:53 - Nov 30 with 1695 views | bluey_the_blue | Turkey Crown from Costco. Good quality, cheap. Usually get their own Kirkland brand, not in yet; we went with the more expensive Gressingham one. £20 discount, flogging them off as they'd been ordered too far in advance... may get more crowns to scoff after Christmas... love turkey sarnies.
Christmas Meat. on 21:03 - Nov 30 with 1679 views | WxmJax | I wouldn't call Costco crowns cheap, very nice but not cheap. [Post edited 30 Nov 2019 21:04]

Their own brand are. Gressingham ones, not so much, but like I said, were flogging them off.

Organic is the way to go, free of those nasty growth hormones, pesticides and preservatives. I shall be using my local organic market in Rhiwbina for my fruit, veg and meat.

You know growth hormones are illegal in the EU. That’s why the US can’t export meet to the EU. Seriously, there is bad organic and excellent conventional production

It's on a Friday 10-1. Quite a good choice of produce. I love juicing the organic veg. Edit. It's at the Butcher's Arms.

Christmas Meat. on 21:19 - Nov 30 by WxmJax | The Mrs said they were £60 last week, or is she telling porkies and secretly stashing some of the cash I'm giving her ? I'll need to investigate further Cant go to Costco too often though, the bill usually starts with a 1 but more often it's a 2 or 3. [Post edited 30 Nov 2019 21:23]

Full turkey or crown? The Gressingham crowns were £45-£55. Got one for £25, like I said, they'd been orderde too early so getting rid of them. Know what you mean. Wife was interested in what they had when I decided to join; was there for hours scribbling things down - products, quantities, prices etc. Got home having spent £140. Next time, she came along, filled trolley. "Oh that'll be about £100." "Errm, last time was £140 for less..." "Ok, no more than £170 then". She went white as a sheet when the bill came to £280...

Fresh crowns. I keep going down the wine aisle. Campo Viera Gran Reserva when they're on offer at £8 (£15 in supermarkets) and McGuigan's black label red or Barefoot malbec at around a fiver. Trouble is, I keep going to the middle wine island they have.

| Swansea Indepenent Poster Of The Year 2021. Dr P / Mart66 / Roathie / Parlay / E20/ Duffle was 2nd, but he is deluded and thinks in his little twisted brain that he won. Poor sod. We let him win this year, as he has cried for a whole year. His 14 usernames, bless his cotton socks.
