Cheer up with a Sunday Slurp 13:51 - Dec 8 with 1068 viewsdickythorpe

Bugger the association football, have a few drinks to cheer up .
I've gone up my local co-op and bought a Chianti 2018 "DOCG" and 4 pint cans of carlsberg export.

The sun is shining as well!!!!

I've just cracked open a bottle of Tesco Malbec Mendoza to drown my sorrows.

Apparently it goes well with steak and beef dishes.

Name me a red that doesn't?

That's not a bad plan as it goes. Think I'll pop up the allotment with the dog and a couple of tins of Stella and have a little sulk in the polytunnel whilst hoping it doesn't blow away

If you want a vision of the future, imagine a boot stamping on a human face--forever.

Have you seen Amazon are selling the Xmas Stella? It's a 75cl bottle and little pricey BUT it is the 5% stuff from Belgium

Little pricey be fooked, that's like saying Bill Cosby was a little rapey!

I think I better stick to the common 440ml can or the only thing I'll be getting this year is divorce papers

Fair point, but tell 'er indoors it's cheaper per 750ml than a pint (568ml) in most pubs these days

Strange mixture dicky a Chianti "DOCG", gets a big thumbs up from me, but Carlsberg lager that's lowered the tone a bit hasn't it.

How much was that bottle of that Chianti "DOCG", it was Carmarthen town Co-op that you got it ?

It’s also my wedding anniversary, so I opened a nice bottle of Barolo and drank the lot.

I tried the carlsberg export as I'm always on Stella. The "DOCG" Chianti was from the new CO-OP in Johnstown. Only £6!!!!!

Tidy, I have filled the car up with DOCG in Chianti in the past and it was not a lot cheaper than it was over here to be honest.

I'd recommend Lidl's Perlenbacher lager at 5% .

Franz Kafka, he probably wouldn't go well with Corbynistas either, a very strong blend of red that's notoriously hard to keep down.

Just my opinion, but WTF do I know anyway?

I thought the weekend couldn’t get any worse but it did. Cold wet and depressed, I had a Glühwein with a shot of rum on the way back from the Werder Bremen game.

I watched Union Berlin v Cologne. Great atmosphere. Three quarters of the ground is standing only.
Free transport to the ground. 12 Euros to get in.

Swansea Indepenent Poster Of The Year 2021. Dr P / Mart66 / Roathie / Parlay / E20/ Duffle was 2nd, but he is deluded and thinks in his little twisted brain that he won. Poor sod. We let him win this year, as he has cried for a whole year. His 14 usernames, bless his cotton socks.

Drinking lager at home, then this is a good shout as is Becks, these days I am more of an ale drinker. Weatherspoon's in Carmarthen had a couple of Golden Ales in as the “specials” last week, Jemima’s Pitchfork was one and it was absolutely gorgeous.

Without looking I knew that Dicky had up-arrowed you. He championed it some time ago ...I'm a fan but my bladder is most definitely not, also much like me and Becks.

Lager ? IPA is the way to go. Son doesn't like the stuff, nor does the missus. No brainer.
Cooking my first joint of beef today, wish me luck. Looking for a wine to go with it now which is taking longer than the actual cooking.
