Yes, it’s all part of the theatre. Social distancing like robots is part of the fear pushing.

Dull headline, "does the Senedd have the sporting interest of Wales" the only answer is no, it has the interest of Wales as a nation

In their thoughts 👍😉

That was especially for Twitter.

This is the headline ( and the article )

Drakeford making decisions that could affect football for the whole of 2022 17th Dec 2021 11:07
It isn’t cast in stone yet, but many expect it to be by Monday evening. And that is how the latest round of sanctions on the public by Wales First Minister Mark Drakeford will affect the Welsh sporting calendar. And what will the EFL do if the playing field is changed by new sanctions in Wales ? 0

From what i have read and watched on line the Omnicom strain is likely to see a very rapid rise for a few weeks than a possible very rapid fall off. This is based on early data from South Africa which is more advanced in this strain. On this basis there could be some sense in a 1 month shutdown. There are early signs of a drop off. This strain has wiped out the old Delta strain.

South Africa is different to the UK in that it Is Summer over there and the roll out of vaccines is only 24% much lower than in most of Europe.

Have you understood anything about what you’ve said? A lockdown doesn’t avoid waves, it simply delays them. Africa have cracked on exactly the same as when omicron appeared and it’s dropping because that’s what viruses do.

Lord Whitty said it’s because of prior infection, but wales and England have removed prior infection from covid passes. Why would they remove prior infection if prior infection is what’s brought the omicron wave down in Africa? That’s right, so they can force us all to take 6 monthly jabs. Which will be paid for by us, and will destroy millions of younger peoples hearts.

It hasn’t wiped out delta strain it has simply become prevalent.
But given the number of postponed matches and the speed this variety spreads a month long postponement of the leagues would be sensible.

It’s coming down in SA without extra restrictions. If we place restrictions it’ll be a ‘false drop’. As soon as we come back out we’ll have another wave and all the doom mongerers will be calling for more restrictions. Just get on with life, if you’re scared, stay at home.

I tend to agree but the EFL players need to get vaxxed all the same.

This Omicron seems to have mutated to be less harmful. We know that the more cases are, the higher the chance of another mutation. Maybe the wiser thing is to let it spread and see if it mutates to be less harmful again? That would be safer if everybody was vaccinated.

Just my opinion, but WTF do I know anyway?

The Senedd has never had the interest of the whole of Wales at heart.
