Considering he's already allegedly put in £100 million+, he can't have a lot of cash on the hip to put in.

Either way, they'll accept it and whatever he wants to do next. They've proven that the singing against Liverpool was nothing more than patomime. Name change will be next.

It's strange that a 61 year old businessman who has spent his whole life amassing a £800 million fortune would spend not far off a quarter of his fortune on a failing business in 2 and a half years. On a completely unrelated and obviously hypothetical note, how much money would a stadium sized casino make? Hypothetically speaking of course...

Can anyone explain how exactly these extra funds (or even indeed the summer spendings) are going to fall on the correct side of the financial FairPlay rules??

You are joking right ? You made it up didn't you ? Just in order to even think 'competing for Europe' or 'top 10 Club flirting with Europe within two years' they must be so incredibly thick that I can't imagine they'd be able to type. The only way this pantomime will end is if they are relegated from the PL. Their Financial situation would be so dire they'd follow Portsmouth down to Division 2. A very sad prospect.

A lot of them think it. Only a few are dull enough to put it in writing. There in a microcosm you have the reason why they're such an easy mark.
| Pain or damage don't end the world. Or despair, or f*cking beatings. The world ends when you're dead. Until then, you got more punishment in store. Stand it like a man... and give some back. |

No - he'll have funds to assemble a couple of new players in January, and with a bit of luck and some good tactical changes, they could stay up. I still think there are 3 worse teams in the PL than Cardiff. Flirting with Europe? Well, any PL club has half a chance in the cups, as Swansea and Wigan showed last year, but to qualify through the league, you need to be better than clubs like Everton, Liverpool & Spurs. This was an interesting read n the Telegraph yesterday http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/football/teams/cardiff-city/10539456/Malky-Mack The author is probably right - I'd say that only Marshall, Caulker and Medel are genuine PL quality. As most successful "smaller" clubs have found, you don't need a whole squad of top class players to survive, but you definitely need 5 or 6 to carry the rest of the squad along.
