The miss was pretty poor, I'd have been more p*ssed off if he wasn't in that position in the first place, though. Got into some decent positions, always looking for the ball with his back to goal and couldn't really do much when the closest player was 15/20 yards away.. I saw enough in Llorente today to fill me with confidence. Yes, he missed a gifted chance but his distribution and aerial success gave me lots of confidence going into the season. He's not the type of player that will be bursting through the back four, he's a player we can get the ball up to and will soak up pressure and creative chances for our wingers.
The question for me is how do we fit Llorente and Baston in the same team... | | | |
