Another proper old school football ground on the way out

But one utterly outdated with appalling facilities .

The away supporters at Goodison have restricted view ,the seats like rock, the toilets disgusting.

Sooner it gets pulled down the better

New stadium on edge of city centre and will be very easy to reach from the Tunnels ( ideal for swans visitors)

Hotels nearby and whole area being redeveloped . Lot of money going into this after years of squabbling like kids

However, with rising sea levels it could by underwater in a few years time. http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-merseyside-39419843

Personally I love Goodison Park

Not bothered by rock hard seats or disgusting bogs ( I have seen far worse) also on my 3 visits there I have never had a restricted view.

Give me Goodison over the Emirates / Eithad or any other soulless bowl football stadium any day.

Anyway time moves on and hospitality is now king for football clubs....

Fair comment pen coed but people now wouldn't put up with the way fans were treated years ago,I'd like shite

Goodison has of course, seen some of the greatest British players that have ever graced the game.

They were THE money club under Moores

Yeah it is one of my favourite away trips.
Strangely enough I like the haemorrhoids as well. Maybe the latter is souless but does create an atmosphere with all the streets and small eateries packed around it.

I was working (briefly) in Liverpool in early 1970, I went to Godison Park to watch Everton v Chelsea. It was a wonderful game of football, not one oversees player on the pitch, some very well known players on both sides, Alan Ball, Joe Royle, John Hollins, Alan Hudson and Peter Osgood to name a few.
5-2 to Everton, they won the title that year.

Dea God Roger. You old fox you

In another life, another relationship , I went to see Everton v Huddersfield with Frank Worthington in full flow.

Great ol ground and full of memories from a golden age.

Restricted view is dead right.

With the camber on that pitch, if your seat's low down in the away section you're lucky to see the top of Dyer's head when he's on the other wing
