What exactly has happened? 09:52 - Apr 16 with 5695 viewsSgorioFruit

From beating Leicester and Burnley and looking like we got our shape and playing mentality back to only picking up one point from 18.
Have the players decided they want to play championship football or something?
Something has changed, we were fired up a few weeks ago and now we are not.
Is it players? Manager?
Bag of shite.

My methods are not favoured by some but by god i speak the truth.

That's a very simple question but one that is so difficult to answer.

I bet many are scratching their heads wondering the same thing. I have no clue whatsoever as to why we are so flat and demotivated.

Squad not strong enough.
Injuries at right back, left back, and centre forward disrupted us big time.

Also clemo has made the wrong calls with no subs vs Boro when we needed a goal and Fer to right back vs spurs at 1-0. Selection of Fulton yesterday was bizarre. McBurnie in then out. Clemo is unsure.

I think we had to go shite or bust in every home game and Clemo too defensive minded. There was a case for Siggy at 10, with 2 wingers at home to go at them. Maybe Leon in centre mid to dictate the home play. Make it exciting.

The squad has been starved of investment and we have struggled most if the season as a direct result.

Beware of the Risen People

I have no idea, was going to ask a similar question last night but couldn't be bothered.
After a very good start, the mood around the place has gone very sour.
Interestingly PCs body language in his post match interview was very un-nearving.

Maybe it's just that most of the teams are pretty crap in the PL and anything can happen in most games ... could be our turn to win a couple of games ...

All down to fine margins.

We could/should have been one up until the Mawson error.
Leading the free scoring Spurs until the 89th minute.
Lost by the odd goal to West Ham and Hull.

Basically we don't score when we are on top in a match.

We had new manager bounce for a few games. Then we reverted back to what we've been the rest of the time.

PC has never managed at this level ,he suffered a similar experience at Derby ie hit a poor spell and couldn't find a way out . Got lambasted by the media and fell apart. Why employ him when there were better and by far more experienced candidates willing and available is beyond comprehension

Like Harry Redknapp?

Pain or damage don't end the world. Or despair, or f*cking beatings. The world ends when you're dead. Until then, you got more punishment in store. Stand it like a man... and give some back.

It's difficult to pin it down, the last 6 weeks. But look at the whole picture and realise that we haven't got enough premier standard players. That's it. It is as simple as that and whilst we may go on a little run now and again we're not good enough. you f cking reap what you sow in this league And it seems most know this apart from the one who needs to know it. Shame!

This is pretty much all down to HJ and it's all, three - four years of very poor performance on his part in his role. The only place he would get away with that level of performance in a career would be public services?

Let's be honest here; whilst he may have taken credit for it the Swansea way is not down to him in the slightest and when we look at it his managerial appointments on the whole have not been geared towards it...

Cusack.
Flynn
Jacket
Martinez - started it!
Sousa - continues the good work and add steel.
Bren - contunues it
ML - ups it a level but HJ feels he's not getting any credit?
Monk - awful appointment at
That crazy month where we had no manager (IMO he should have been sacked for this alone as it was gross negligence on his part)
FG - pragmatic and got the job done and should have been supported but most certainly NOT the Swansea way
Bobbly - say no more.
Clem - appointed and then undermined in the transfer window.

And car sick travelling across Swansea.

IMHO, there is no fight or desire in our rag tag players.
We're certainly not a team, just a collection of mediocre players thanks to both the sell out scum and our total muppet new owners.
If we could actually play like a team, fighting for everything we could still possibly survive.
I just wonder what logic was used to buy the players we currently have and appoint the likes of Bradley.
And the only answer I can come up with is cash!!

If you wake up breathing, thats a good start to your day and you'll make many thousands of people envious.

Cash - as in spending as little as possible. Must have made the books look good though.

Not sure your right on the squad being starved of investment.

We have bought.
Baston 15 mil
Llorente 5
Mawson 5
Carrol 5
Narsingh 4.5
Ayew 5 plus Taylor
Olson 4.5

So spent about 45 million quid plus signing on fees.
Sold Ayew and Williams for 20 and 12.

So we can't really say there has been no investment but the recruitment has been poor.

Can't argue with any of that. Spot on, yet on here all we heard was in jenkins we trust, an agenda setting tone where putting the head in the sand was the apparent way forward, the same people doing that are now of course all against jenkins and the sellouts, truth be told they were selling us out long before a sale had been agreed and they cashed in to the yanks.

Mr Clement's inexperience as a Manager at PL level when adversity happens.
Some very poor players at PL level.
Lack of a leader on the pitch.
Paper thin squad/injuries.
Individual mistakes by players.
Opposition set up their team knowing full well the weaknesses in ours.

It's true to a certain degree. But we all know that paying £5m quid for a player inthis league means he will be a joe average player , better to buy one decent player for 3 stocking fillers.

Ki £5m
Cork £3m
Fer £5m
Carrol £5m

One the most average midfields in the history of the prem league, all reserve players or relegated at previous clubs except Ki who played in the pub league.

We could have signed joe allen for 10m or brought in JDG for decent money , both good footballers, both know the club both were zero risk in terms of what they bring.

One of the first things Laudrup did on arrival was take one look at Ki and sign JDG that says an awful lot to me .

Add in the shelvey fee and over the period we are closer to cost neutral on fees.

Signing on and agents fees bump it up of course.

But i agree that it is the quality of our recruitment that is the issue and the reason why we are in a mess we are unlikely to get out of even if we stay up. The squad needs overhauling and the only way to do this without additional funding is smart recruitment.

What happened to the so-called review of recruitment? Did the head of recruitment report to our director of football or the chairman? Or as it is all the same person is that something else that there wasn't time to do in the summer?

Wayne Routledge puts his chance(s) away at Hull and we are safe. Fine margins indeed.
