My take was that things went stale after a window in which Huw had insisted on letting his own team do the recruitment, missed ML's main targets, and finally brought in Bony late. I think we would have survived, but the plotting and bad feeling was already infecting the club. Does anybody remember those nasty insider leaks to the press we were getting?
