I think the complaint is because it was at a Cadw site, the same Cadw that "help sustain the distinctive character of Wales". The Cadw that in translation means to keep/protect. |  |

I was Santa again for Hendy RFC this year and I am not fluent in Welsh. All these kids come in with their parents talking Welsh to each other, I say " Have you been a good boy/girl?" in English and they lapped it up.
Unfortunately, no fragrant yummy, mummies sat on my lap this time.
Must have been shite me.
I would say a bilingual Santa would far more likely to be found in North or West Wales than down near Castell Coch. |  |

Would never be such a big deal otherwise ......dying language is Welsh and that is coming from a father who has two children brought up in a Welsh speaking school due to it being my ex-wife’s first language.
Initially, the Welsh speaking schools enjoyed smaller class numbers etc and I was satisfied with my sons’ progression but now there isn’t that much difference really..... |  |
