Indeed. Hence we should be casting our net far a wide for players that are not just Better value but are hungry for success and can make the grade.

We have a f*ckload of academy and U23 players who couldn't even make the bench in most cases in our last 2-3 campaigns..despite our desperate need for players who can get us out of trouble..that only speaks volumes of how insipid and untrustworthy our academy is.

I was told the academy is an intergral part of our club ,a fine investment and a necessary one.
I disagree as to me it's a waste of time ,money and thought.
Few were selected for season gone and those who were didn't retain their places so they are not outstanding in any way. They should be and able ,at least, to have avoided is fielding teams with dyer Routledge,KI and Caroll as key players . Is there a striker there . I was assuming that offloading Ollie Mac meant we did have a balls out striker as the Ayews most definitely are not and Tammy wasn't picked to start much .

What’s your point? Harry Wilson is 2 years older and scored 7 in 13 goals for Hull. Some players don’t want to sit around and wait for a chance at big clubs, they are willing to drop down and get game time that way. We need fresh young talent in our squad. | | | |
