So a French company is dumping mildly radioactive material from an English power station, a mile off the coast of Wales. Just doesn’t sit well with me to be honest. Was this approved by the WAG? My guess is that it wouldn’t have to be, it would be a UK gov matter.

Shades of Tryweryn/Capel Celyn? Thoughts?

It was approved by the WAG yes.

The creatures outside looked from pig to man, and from man to pig, and from pig to man again; but already it was impossible to say which was which.

Isn’t this the kind of thing that the WAG was setup to protect Wales from?

Yes but it doesn’t work when the assembly is filled to the brim with supine invertebrate protoplasmic jellies to borrow a phrase.

Cardiff truly do get everything.

Could be worse. Could be Gower or Pembs.

Pain or damage don't end the world. Or despair, or f*cking beatings. The world ends when you're dead. Until then, you got more punishment in store. Stand it like a man... and give some back.

If Gower or Pembs received that muck there would be such massive protests that the WAG would have to move it.

It should be dumped down the English side of the estuary, not that I know much about the topography of the lower Bristol Channel!

The mud has been tested and it’s not radioactive.
The whole environment surrounding Hinkley point is constantly tested, water, air etc.
There is even a testing laboratory a few miles from Hinkley point, who’s job it is to carry out testing.

Nope.

Deep tests not done.
Other countries do 3 tests, we have had a single test.

Welsh Govt should have instructed NRW to tell them to feck off.

Do you think this is a good thing ?

Greenpeace are a political group. Don’t you trust the experts who have done all the tests? They are experts.

Bloody scandalous, the only people to blame here, are the idiots who santioned this to happen, a full enquiry needs to be instigated.
I'm assuming someone's making a nice bit of wedge out of this.
Who on earth reckons it's safe to dump radioactive material, and why in Wales.

It’s not dangerously radioactive according to the experts.

I'm good friends with Ciaran. He is a fervent anti-nuclear campaigner and this mud is practically on his doorstep as he live in South Docks area. We need more testing as millions of tons of the stuff is going to be dumped.

Thank you, goodnight and bollocks

Millions of tons ? Slight exaggeration there.
300,000 tons more like.

We should listen to the experts instead of random blokes on planetswans and they say the mud isn’t dangerous so I for one absolutely believe them 100% without question.
