One paced, can sit on him and frustrate him leading him to make poor decisions and bad fouls, no stamina gets frustrated and gives away stupid fouls when tired after an hour; questionable temperament, thinks his undoubted ability on the ball makes up for weaknesses and leads him to think he is better than he is.
Great given time and space but the opposition knows that as well. Best position is on the bench to come on in the last 20 mins when he may get the time and space against tired players that he needs to perform.

Shelvey was an average player for us, we mugged Newcastle and got very lucky on the deal, his problem is that he thinks he's better than he actually is making his ability to learn and improve difficult, no doubt Rafa has now decided his negatives out weigh his positives .

Shelvey is potentially as good as he thinks he is. He's got all the attributes required to be a top level player apart from the intelligence. He's as dumb as a brick.
