Different waterfront I think. The people who missed the start of the game were the ones who stayed in the Wetherspoons by the station. That is also near some water but not the quayside that is often recommend for pre-game drinking. We were in the Nova Scotia last year, no trouble at all and a ten minute walk from the ground.l

Probably a bit late but I'd take one/two if available.

Ello, somehow managed to completely miss the tickets going on sale. If by some miracle anyone finds they have one or two spares, please drop me a PM and I'll definitely take them. Cheers!

This mystical £30m Black hole

I don't see how those "wages saved" count towards the £30m as they were out of contract and therefore never counted against us for this upcoming season.

Nah just football managers, particularly since Martinez.

What, the suggestion that we target them based on their Jewish heritage?

Exactly. So all this talk of us luring him here on false pretences is complete speculation. As is the majority view that he only left because he wasn't given "assurances" as opposed to the usual reason of going for more money at a Premier League club.

Any proof of what he was and wasn't told about ao
our financial situation last year or is this just more baseless posturing?

Is anyone else here looking at this situation rationally?

Don't be silly, every other poster on here is suggesting Potter really really really wanted to stay but was driven out by the board. Poor guy!

I strongly believe his team leaked the whole "looking for assurances" thing to save face and make out to gullible fans that he was actually considering sticking with us and not jumping at the first Premier League job.

So many Potter apologists on here who clearly bought his nice guy act. I can't believe so many of our fans are so naïve that they actually believe Potter wanted to stay more than anything in the world but was forced to begrudgingly take a better paid job with a Premier League club because of the nasty old Americans.

To all the "boycotters".

So is it impossible to become a diehard Jack these days? When was the cutoff? A lot of our season ticket holders were kids (or not even born) when we were last in the bottom tier. Seems a bit harsh to suggest they aren't real fans.

Those that stayed away in “Protest” today

I'd guess at zero. Even if we win it there won't be profit to take given the state the finances are in currently.

Shocking turn out today
at 22:16 17 Feb 2019

Those who stayed away cost Swansea City money today, not the owners. It was never going into the "owners pockets", a favourite around here at the moment. And if you actually believe they are funelling money out to "pay Rooney's wages" you really need to get your head checked.

People didn't boycott either of those though did they?

Lots of people claimed to not be going because of the "boycott."

Anything else we can blame the yanks for that they have nothing to do with? Trip or fall at work that wasn't your fault? Probably the yanks...

There was no segregation through the park as that was after our fans rushed the (admittedly fairly weak) police line channelling them a different way.

Walking them from the station to the ground was a mad decision anyway. It's a 45 minute walk at the best of times, let alone in a crowd of hundreds.

Genuine question, but haven't you always been fully behind the Americans and their approach to balancing the books? Why is Jenkins going such bad news in that case? I haven't seen you mention Jenkins in anything other than perfect harmony with the owners.
