ToysRus was a massive loss to be fair.
I guess that they were smashed by the online shopping tendency.
My eldest kids used to love a visit there around Christmas time, thankfully they've grown up now and won't have to accustom themselves to their parents clicking 'order now' for their experiences.
I'm not sure that a take away Costa is on the same level but I'm sure others will argue differently.

A decent amount of singing from the Canton stand but that was about it last night to be fair.
I was in the Ninian with the lads and it's the quietest I can remember.
Though we were poor last night overall even though our there were some decent individual performances, notably Mepham and Rodon.
With our current crop of players I honestly think that if Bale plays, he has to play as a No.9, I'm not sure what Giggs was thinking starting Lawrence up there ffs.
Brookes will be a welcome return, as Ramsey will be too. Would love to see Ward get a chance between the sticks and regardless of whether he's starting for Spurs, Ben should be in ahead of Taylor.
I could go on but until we have a change of manager I don't see us reaching anywhere near the levels we could.
At least Jonniesta looked full of running again which was nice to see.

Countdown to the end of Democracy in the UK

" reality is that 2 years ago they should have worked to find a consensus position reflecting the divided views of the country. The sort of agreement the leave campaign all stood for. A ‘Norway’ type arrangement. Instead, they chose to only focus on the 52% and pretended they all supported the most extreme version of brexit. The whole thing has been one long cock-up."

Blimey, that's far too sensible a proposition for people to grasp, never mind politicians...

I suppose that at least he likes the sound of his own voice, I'm not entirely sure that anyone else is particularly enamoured with his plummy tones...

Maybe a naive Prem club languishing at the bottom of the league will take a punt on him being their saviour in January....
It wouldn't be completely unheard of

Joe had an excellent game today.

I saw him approach the South stand after the final whistle but he gave no signals that he was going to throw his shirt to any awaiting vultures as far as I could see...

I guess if Routledge were fit he'd get the nod.
Both Byers and Celina have failed to achieve a decent level at No.10 for a full 90 minutes yet this season.

Work until you die?
at 10:34 23 Aug 2019

Really?
I understood that the calculations were based on life expectancy continuing to increase at an almost linear rate, hence the staggered calculations on retirement age.

Anyway, what irks me is that pensions are pretty much insurance policies to provide an income should you live beyond your working years, to have the terms and conditions changed 'half way through' just seems wrong.

And, some research is suggesting that the more austerity measures are implemented the more likely that life expectancy will continue to decrease, particularly in less affluent areas.

Life expectancy in the UK has stopped improving for the first time since 1982, when figures began.

Women's life expectancy from birth remains 82.9 years and for men it is 79.2, the figures from the Office for National Statistics, for 2015-17, show.

In some parts of the UK, life expectancy has even decreased.

For men and women in Scotland and Wales, it declined by more than a month. Men in Northern Ireland have seen a similar fall.
