If he stays and gets fit, how will he do in this league?

With wide players getting crosses in also, I reckon he'll bag a few

Anyone got a Chromecast?
at 20:48 3 Aug 2018

Thinking of getting one. Our Samsung TV is still going strong as is my Nexus 6. No point shelling out a few hundred pounds when 30 quid will suffice.

I assume once we plump for a smart TV I can simply move the Chromecast elsewhere in the house?

Evening all

Having indulged in plenty of DIY in recent times I thought it wise to set up a thread for hints and tips

My first one - if you're tiling consider using ready mixed adhesive as you can remove tiles if you make a fox pass.

Electric tile cutters are also a great bit of kit

Been given one of these gratis by a chum in work. Can these be plumbed into the mixer tap or do you have to use the supplied tap (one in the box)?

The E&D debate

Following on from Lisa's post in the Thomas thread, I had an interesting chat with a colleague in work. Apparently a Google technician questioned Google's drive to recruit on minority groups rather than ability. he was fired but is in the process of a claim for unfair dismissal.

Now for me and my colleague a person is a person. The point we discussed at length was the question of have schemes such as positive discrimination and an apparent honours for different groups of people to show equality watered down the genuine drive to have a more diverse workforce, or is it making the best of a bad situation.

A very complex and deep subject, but as a wise and erudite individual pointed out "we cannot hide behind the veil of complexity"

This week's find at Aldi. Between 99p and £1.25 - this hippy find was £1.19.

Anyone got a solid wood worktop?
at 20:58 3 Apr 2018

Hello comrades,

Has anyone got a solid oak worktop? If so what are your recommendations for upkeep? Is it best to use Danish oil or a mixture of Danish and tung oil?

Ours is installed in the next couple of weeks. I imagine the area around the tap is a pain in the arsene to look after

Top slow cooker recipes?

I'll kick off with a curry - chicken thighs (sorry E20), spinach, red onions, ginger, garlic, cloves, cardomom seeds, tumeric, chilli powder, cumin, red curry paste and coconut milk. Serve with rice and chopped coriander 😍😍😍
