Swedish midfielder Bojan Djordjic is understood to be on boss Paul Jewell’s radar following his release by Blackpool last week. Much-travelled Djordjic recently fell out with Seasiders manager Ian Holloway having failed to make an appearance after joining the Seasiders in the summer.

The 29-year-old Serbian-born former Manchester United youngster is believed to have been at Portman Road to watch Saturday’s game between the Blues and the Tangerines.

A winner of United’s prestigious Jimmy Murphy Player of the Year Award while with the Red Devils’ youth set-up, 6ft tall Djordjic never really fulfilled his potential at Old Trafford and made only one start and one sub appearance.

Left-sided midfielder Djordjic, a former Sweden U21 international, has also played for Sheffield Wednesday, Aarhus in Denmark and Serbs Red Star Belgrade, all on loan while at United, Rangers, Plymouth, Swedes AIK and Hungarians Videoton.

Meanwhile, Southend winger Ryan Hall, linked with a move to the Championship with the Blues Crystal Palace, Millwall and Nottingham Forest, says he has no immediate plans to leave Roots Hall: "I like being at Southend and I want to stay here.”
