Jason Scotland admits that he doesn't feel relaxed when he plays at the Liberty Stadium

Of Scotland's 29 goals this season, 18 have come away from the Liberty Stadium in 25 games compared to his 11 goal haul in 27 games at the Liberty.  And that is a statistic that Scotland puts down to how he feels when he takes to the pitch in front of his own supporters.

If you take that statistic further since the start of the year Scotland has 13 goals in 15 games away from the Liberty but just 3 in 11 appearances in Swansea. And the striker believes that he would have a much higher tally if he was able to not feel on edge when he was playing there.

Both Scotland and his agent have spoken out in recent weeks about the fans getting behind the player and it does seem more noticeable at away games that he is a different player with stick quite freely there for him at home games.

Speaking in the News of the World, Scotland said "I'm not relaxed when I play at the Liberty.  That's because I get the feeling that the fans are not behind me.

"I'm playing better in our away games and that's because I'm able to relax more.  But I want to feel more at home at the Liberty.

"If that happens then I will score more goals there.  At the moment I'm a bit on edge when I play there and I really want that to change.

"I've got 29 goals this season but I feel I can do even more if I'm able to relax playing at the Liberty.  All I want to do is make the people of Swansea proud.
