The Takeover: The Fans Speak Out

Fans have been speaking out about the 'handover' of the club to Mike Lewis this morning, news which has been received with displeasure from the majority who see it as an uncertain time for Swansea City football club.
Spokesman for the MAGS (Midlands, Avon and Gloucester Swans), Keith Haynes said "Now is the time for action. Mike Lewis has always said that he is not in a position for actions but now he is we will have to see if he is as good as his word.
"I would guess that Steve Hamer is there and the fact that Neil McClure would not do business with him backs that much up.
Swansea fans will be looking for immediate assurances that the likes of Roger Freestone will not be sold to try and recoup some of the debt."
A call on the internet from Swansea fans said "You would think that Ninth Floor had done enough damage - this is the last laugh on us. Not only that, if Lewis doesn't secure the loans then they will take it back, if he sells then they want an extra 20% etc - We are in the shit bigtime - administration and then new owners is the way forward. If he sells roger then boycott them - like carlisle are doing"
Even some Cardiff fans have been expressing their sympathies at the news that Lewis is in charge with messages of support coming in from them on the Message Board of this site.
The statement from Swansea that 'the plans include provision for a supporters trust initiative though is good news and with the first meeting last weekend, all should now be encouraged to join up for the initiative to make sure that OUR football club is looked after properly.
