A week last Thursday I received a phone call to make an appointment with a person employed by thecouncil (Morfa Development) to see Mr Bo Eklund as he was in the country on business andwas going to watch the Swans at York. The appointment was confirmed on Friday morning for Tuesday at 10.00am. Imet Mr Eklund on the Monday evening and he invited me to sit in on the meeting because he wanted a fan to witness what was being said, of which I accepted. For the record, Bo Eklund was NOT asked to leave at anytimeduring the meeting. And he did not expect the meeting to have lasted 2 hours. I've seen the messages on the J.A.net site asking "What's my part?" My reply "I've no part - nor do I want a part!" I'm a fan and I'm concerned of the future of Swansea City FC. Many internet fans have asked the question "Why did Bo Eklund go behind the backs of the present board of Swansea City FC?" The answer is quite simple - The reason why he didn't go to the present board is that they are not the landlord of the Morfa AND MorfaDevelopment! I firmly believe that supporters need to be told the truth - and in my own opinion - Mr Bo Eklund is genuine. Way back in the October (Petty era) one of the darkest days ofSCFC- Bo Eklund at that time didn't have investors/backers on board - now he has! Mr Eklund and his consortium do have the finances for the Morfa project. And I know for a fact that should Mr Eklund and his consortium takeover the Morfa project they have the funds available to write off the clubs present CVAstraight away. What do supporters of the club want? The Supporters Trust don't have the finances to takeover. Do the present board have the finances to take the club forward? In the real world - football clubs are now a business (Premiership/Division1) It's a COMMERCIAL World!Revenue from home games only pays part of the wages. My main concern is that I'm fed up to the hilt with so called fellow supporters passing comments on myself and the likes of Mr Dave Bradshaw. At this moment in time, Dave Bradshawand Huw Jenkins are in discussion to arrange a meeting with Mr Bo Eklund. To the so called supporters knocking Dave Bradshaw please think before you write. For the record David Bradshaw has been the second highest sponsor to Swansea City Football Club. Only last season he paid the wages from hisown pocketfor one of the now top player at the club. In my own opinion Mr Eklund is no McClure/Petty! He has the financial clout to take the club forward should he be in the position to do so. Swansea City need to be moving with the times - just look up the M4 East! |
