Saints are causing grief for themselves by failing to keep the fans informed

Yesterdays appearance of Marek Saganowski alongside the transfer of Andrew Davies and the subsequent internet speculation fuelled by the fact that Saints reporting on the stories was in the case of Saganowski, non existent, highlighted a major problem.

At this moment in time the Club is having to go through some major changes, some of them very painful for the fans to have to watch and endure, this being the case its very important for the Club to be very clear and concise in reporting events to the supporters, as opposed to the current policy, which seems to be one of hoping that the fans wont notice.

This practice of sweeping news under the carpet has to stop if the Club wants to retain the good will of supporters who have been willing to give the new regime a chance and regain the confidence of those, who at the moment arent.

When supporters see things happening that arent reported by the club then they start to be suspicious and even distrustful of those in charge and this isnt good for the morale of the supporters.

Of course supporters know that in football there are certain things that have to remain private until they happen, but in most cases a situation can be quickly clarified and nip speculation in the bud before it can gain a hold and spread like wildfire.

If Rupert Lowe expects the supporters to back him, then he has to realise that he has to show them that he has changed, in any walk of life that is the case, and there is no difference here, put bluntly Rupert has to realise that whatever his own personal thoughts on why we are in this position, they do not coincide with a significant proportion of the fanbase, if they see him carrying on in the same way as they feel he did last time, then they wont back him, if he can show that he has learnt the lseeons from the past then he has a chance of convincing people that he is the man to take the club forward.

But if the Club isnt putting out information and news to the fans quickly and clearly, then the fans will thing that Rupert has something to hide and it will only split the fanbase further.
