The Two Leons Send Swansea To Cardiff

Just got back

Great night tonight! was weird cos half of the swans fans were behind one goal and the other half behind the other goal... would have been good if it went to pens! First half was fairly even, both teams having good chances, O'leary twice gettin in behind the left back, crossing on one occasion and shooting on the other. First half played out without too much incident, ref was letting the game go, no cards being dished out which was nice! Second half started with a disaster, Danns shot, Willy went down, looked to have it easily covered and it got the worst bounce and went straight over him. This didnt put the Swans off, they carried on knocking it about when the ball got played into the box and Leon tucked it away from around the 6 yard box. The second goal for Knight was similar, again a bit of a scrap in the box which resulted in the ball in the net! There were a few good moves for both sides, Robinson was having some great runs at their defence, one which resulted in a great save by the keeper and then block from Trundles shot. Danns looked set to get one back when he went past Martinez, O'Leary and Tate, then he decided to fall over and get himself booked. The collision between Lowe and Monk looked nasty, he didnt get up at all and it is reported he is OK, just said he had pins and needles in his arms and legs so will be kept in until tomorrow. At least thats what they have been told on the bus. Was bad watching all the neck braces and special stretcher being carried out, and their doctor coming on. Thankfully he's OK! All in all was a good game. Willy looked safe apart from the goal which wasnt his fault. Tate was superb, some great tackles on the winger, covered well at right back. Monk, solid, lost a few headers. Lowe looked very good until he went off, some great tackles, calm head backs. One to look at I think. Ricketts looked like he couldnt be arsed again. Robinson had some great touches and was getting forward well. Martinez gave the ball away alot, poor free kicks too. O'Leary battled hard, got back when needed and got forward alot too! Britton worked well, wasnt his best night, got the goal though. Knight didnt come into the game alot, what he did do he did well, and again got on the scoresheet so thats the main thing! Bayo won loads in the air, held it up brilliantly, laying it off, turning. Put the effort in. The new faces seem to have spurred him on. Trundle, looked sharp, was sprinting around after the ball. Looks alot fitter than he ever has! Forbes, worked tirelessly at right back making some important headers and clearances. Way came on, his usual terrier self, wasnt on long enough to make an impact though! Cardiff here we come!
