So Who Does Make Up Jackett's Famous Five?

It's been two weeks since the dust settled on the heartbreaking end to our football season and whilst the World Cup has meant football is never far away, life at Swansea City has already seen the changes rung.

It started immediately when Forbes, Martinez and Murphy all found the door marked 'exit' designed for them and two of them have had their moans in the papers about their release. In return, Jackett has opened the door and secured the services of Darren Pratley for a six figure sum ending a long chase that has been running for over twelve months.

Jackett himself also adds that Pratley is just the start and four or five new faces in total will arrive this summer with one of them - Roger Johnson - pretty high on Jackett's wanted list as he looks to steady up his defence - one of the weak areas of last season.

So who are the famous five that Jackett is targetting? Well, if you took the rumours on the boards then it could be almost anyone but other than Johnson and Pratley that we know about who is Jackett looking at?

In short, no definite idea. After the play off defeat I decided to take it easy football wise for a couple of weeks and whilst work committments made it easier I have just been reading the rumours and smiling (Lampard won't sign until after the World Cup by the way!) but these appear to be the strongest rumours at the moment or, of course definite movements

Roger Johnson - we know this one to be true. Jackett has already tabled two bids for the player who seems to be his number one target of the summer. With Martinez out of the door I think this is one player that Jackett has highlighted to take the captain's armband for next season. Expect another bid to be made

Darren Pratley - a long term target for Jackett who moved again having missed out before loan deadline day back in March. Once Kenny got wind that Fulham were ready to release he stepped in and whilst Johnson may be the replacement for Roberto captain wise, Pratley is seen as the target midfield wise.

Jay Tabb - Jay Tabb has been sighted in Mumbles, the Quadrant, Good News in Morriston, Swansea West services, T Mobile in Town and McDonalds in Port Talbot. What more proof do you need that he will become a Swansea player sometime this summer? In truth, I expect none of the sightings are true (would you seriously recognise Jay Tabb?) but I wouldn't be surprised if this lad was an interest of ours. He impressed me in the play off semi final at the Liberty and if we can get him (or want him) then I would certainly say a good addition

Jason Brown - One thing is for certain we will sign a keeper this summer. The release of Brian Murphy tells us that. And with respect to Willy I also expect the new man to take the number 1 shirt and the starting berth for next season. If that isn't the plan then we may as well have kept Willy. Brown seems likely to leave Gillingham and has been linked with us on a couple of occasions. As a Welsh international we have to surely be interested perhaps Sam could sell Swansea City to him!

And Who else? Lee Johnson (formerly of Yeovil) was linked but I cannot see it happening and there have been quite a few other names, some of which I am sure will actually be an interest of ours. What I do expect to see happen over the next 10 days is the players Kenny wants arriving before he heads off on his summer break. The squad report back in just three weeks for pre season training and I would suspect Kenny would want to see his squad formalised by that time.

What is good is to see movement already and certainly the fact that Huw and the board have given him a decent sum of money to spend. I would hazard a guess that several League One sides are casting a wishful eye at Jackett's purse strings this summer and that surely can only be good for us?
