From A Swansea Perspective |
It's been quite a week at Planet Liberty. Leon Knight is dropped for 'football reasons' as we beat Chesterfield away before being transfer listed for 'not working hard enough' on the even of us beating Walsall on penalties. But thats okay as we 'should never have brought him' even if Bayo is surprised and disappointed and Robbo is not to blame. And to top all that Leon Knight doesn't know what he has done wrong. Anyone else like to get back to the football? Yeah, me aswell
Where there's a Will there is no way as Darren Way misses out through another injury alongside Kevin Amankwaah. This should mean a starting place for Owain Tudur Jones in central midfield whilst Dennis Lawrence will be back at the centre of defence with Alan Tate moving to right back.
Lee Trundle will continue up front alongside Rory Fallon.
Millwall boss Willie Donachie is expected to stick with a winning team.
Jody Morris (knee), Tom Brighton, Darren Byfield (both ankle) and Ben May (shoulder) remain long-term absentees.
It's been 7 points out of the last twelve for the Swans and a win will take them into the division's top five so what more incentive should there be? Millwall, after a dreadful start have shown some traces of form in recent weeks and they will be eyeing up a move out of the bottom four if they can get a win.
Bet 365 see the Swans as 8/11 on favourites for the game with an away win pried at 10/3. The draw is available at 12/5
Predictable as ever, Lee Trundle is shortest odds for first goalscorer at 7/2 with Fallon9/2 and Robbo 5/1 Leon Knight incidentally can be backed at 4/1. For Wall, both Ben May and Darren Byfield can be backed at 15/2. If you fancy Leon Britton to repeat his feat of last weekend then he is 11/1 or Tom Williams may be a decent shout at 28/1
Double fans will surely be backing Trundle on first goal, possibly with a Swans win - if you back that at 2-1 with LT10 then odds of 22/1 are heading your way if it comes off
This is going no other way than a Swans win according to the fans. 117 predictions to date sees 105 of them saying "home win" with 9 of the remining 12 saying draw.
Trundle is backed by 61 to grab the first goal for the Swans with 2-0 (35 votes) being the popular scoreline for prediction pundits.

Wrong again last week - can anyone remember a correct prediction? I think its something like 2 from 13 so far which would be quite an achievement for England's one day cricket team so lets not get too disheartened. I am going to be right this time around so lump on a Swans win. You know it makes sense |
