Ferrie Bodde's agent says that there is an agreement with the club that he could be allowed to leave

The Swansea City midfielder is the subject once again of transfer speculation and it is widely expected that there will be bids on the table for the player come the January transfer window.

Rumours have surfaced in the last few days of interest from Newcastle United to add to that of West Brom, Middlesbrough, Portsmouth and Bolton although nothing concrete is yet to come from any of these clubs.

Last summer, the Swans managed to secure Ferrie on a new deal beating off interest from Derby County but the bidding is expected to be higher in January and the player's agent says that he struck an agreement with the Swans that they would allow him to leave if the interest was from a big Premier League club.

Sjaron Vink from Fair Deal Sports Management told BBC Sport Wales: "He is very happy in Swansea.

"But...we made a gentlemen's agreement that if a big Premier League club came in then they would let him go.

"There is a lot of interest at the moment for Ferrie because he is doing very well," Vink added.

"It is the dream of every player to play in the Premier League."

Ferrie is the Swans leading scorer so far this season and quite probably the current player of the year.
