Reading striker Noel Hunt will be meeting up with one of his closest mates at Swansea this Saturday

Reading travel to the Liberty to take on Swansea City with the home side out for revenge after their worst afternoon of the season back in September - they crashed 4-0 at the Madejski and Hunt was on the scoresheet.

But the striker is expecting a tougher test this time around and knows several of the Swansea team including his old lodger Tom Butler.

Speaking to the Reading Evening Chronicle, Hunt said “I know a few of the Swansea lads,

“I played against Jason Scotland, I know Dorus De Vries in goal and one of my closest mates is Tommy Butler on the right wing.

“We played for the Irish Under 21s together and he was up in Dunfermline for a stint when he left Sunderland. He lived with me for seven or eight months, it was a good crack, he’s a great lad. We missed him when he left but that’s football.

“It was good banter the last time we met. I haven’t seen him since that game so hopefully we can do it again, it will be sweet.

“I don’t think I was too harsh on him, he’s a good lad. We didn’t give them time to play and we need to repeat that on Saturday.

“I scored the first goal that day with a header,” recalled Hunt when looking back at the game in September. “But Swansea are a good side, they like to pass the ball and I’m sure it will be a different game down there. We know how good they are at home and I’m sure it will be a hard afternoon.

“The sign of a good team is when you don’t lose. They’re no mugs, that’s for sure. We need to approach this one carefully.

“We’ve had a few big results over the last few weeks but nothing is as big as this one right now. It’s a hard away game, one of the hardest in the league when you think about it. We need to go there and win.”
