Swansea City will be looking to extend a 10 game unbeaten run tomorrow against a high flying Reading side.

Stopping a side with an goal average of 2.11 goals a game would be a feat for any club in the championship but Swansea will go into the game unfazed and ready to reverse the 4-0 drumming at the hands of the Royals back in September. Since then the Swans have come a long way and have gained vital experience of the rigours and the challenges posed in the second tier of the British game.

Drawing attention to the failures to cope with a rampant Reading side that day, Swans boss Roberto Martinez has urged his players to redeem themselves and surge on towards the top six as he told the SWEP , he said "Our performance was unacceptable, but now we have a great opportunity to show that we can compete with a very good team like Reading. This is a chance to get rid of that bad feeling we had and a chance for us to redeem ourselves.”

Last season Swansea certainly were not without the footballing community piling superlatives upon the brand of football on display at the Liberty Stadium and this season is no different. Praising the revolution at the South Wales club, Reading boss Steve Coppell believes that Swansea are more than capable of securing promotion as he told the clubs official site he said “I feel they are well capable of promotion this year, and they will be looking to reverse the result [a 4-0 defeat] when we played earlier in the season.

What about Martinez himself? Coppell also has revelled his belief that the Spaniard is destined for big things , he adds “The south Wales public are lucky to have that football on their doorstep every week and Roberto is destined for big things." However come tomorrow afternoon the understated Royals boss has only one goal in mind and that is to unsettle the Swans as he now alludes too” Our intention is to go there, do our best to unsettle them and try to get a result ourselves. “

The Injury Lists:

Swansea will be without influential midfielder Leon Britton after the 26 year old picked up a fifth yellow card against Burnley last weekend. Right back Matty Collins is also out with a ankle injury and will be out of contention for up to six weeks.

Long term injury absentees Ferrie Bodde and Marcos Painter continue their rehabilitation programmes whilst Tom Butler will face a late fitness test due to a groin injury.

Some good news as Argentine Fede Bessone is back from a hamstring injury but Alan Tate is odds on favourite to retain his place at left back.

Reading have Andre Bikey sidelined due to suspension and Sam Sodje is still out. Goalkeeper Marcus Hahnemann is doubtful as is Bobby Convey.

Players to Watch:

Jason Scotland: It has taken a little time for the 29 year old to settle into the new challenges posed in the championship but has finally found his feet. Scoring a brace to end Swansea's eight game draw streak the Trinidad and Tobago international could prove a handful for the Reading defence. Coming under criticism from the Swansea fan base the Morvant born striker is a constant in the Swans side.

Kevin Doyle: As goal scoring records no one can doubt the Irishman's credentials. Signed from Cork City in 2005 , Doyle's stock has risen dramatically over the course of his Reading career. It has led to a host of premiership sides declaring their interest in one of Steve Coppell's most prized players and with 17 goals in 27 appearances this season Swansea will have to be very wary of his obvious goal scoring threat.
