Matthew Phillips introduces us to the man in the middle for the Reading game

Saturday’s referee is Fred Graham from Essex, he will officiate in his first game of 2009. Fred Graham became a league referee in 2004 and so far this season he averages just under 3 yellows per match, with no reds as yet.

We have won 3 out of the 4 games he has officiated in, the last being the 3-1 win over Luton last season. He may be remembered by some fans for a controversial decision he gave for Swansea in the game against Kidderminster at home in 2004. He allowed a goal to stand after the Harriers goalkeeper was injured on the floor and Paul Connor headed it in.

Stats so far this season:

16 Games,
42 Yellows,
0 Reds.

Games refereed v Swansea:

Vs Kidderminster (home) 04/05 Won 3-0
Vs Leyton Orient (away) 04/05 Lost 3-1
Vs Port Vale (away) 06/07 Won 2-0
Vs Luton (away) 07/08 Won 3-1
