Football 365 link moneybags Manchester City with a summer move for Angel Rangel

It's not even April yet and silly season has started as the Swansea City defender is linked with a move to a club that last time around was chasing Kaka for a world record fee of many tens of millions of pounds.

Football365 though have linked Rangel with City which just proves that people will probably make up football rumours about anything - or alternatively that Mark Hughes is several country miles apart from his bosses in terms of who the football team needs.

It has long been commented that Robinho was not a Hughes signing and it seems almost certain that the courting of Kaka was being done by those above him rather than him in the manager chair.   And whilst Rangel is - in my opinion - one of the best right backs outside of the Premiership you would have to say it is unlikely that the billions of pounds is earmarked with the name "Angel Rangel" on it wherever that money is stored.

What it does say though is that Rangel is being noticed in the world of making up football rumours and you know that he is also being discussed in board rooms around the country.   I fully expect him to attract some interest over the summer months and he is one of the names that the Swans will struggle to hold onto.

But I'm prepared to lay down on the block this morning and state he will not end up at Manchester City next season and if he does then they can pay £50m for him - after all money is no object...!
