Scott Sinclair set his sights on 20 goals for the season after his penalty double at the weekend

Swansea City's bargain buy of the summer netted twice within five minutes against Crystal Palace on Saturday taking his tally of goals for the season to 16.

And his next landmark is twenty goals although you have to suspect he would like to get beyond that figure with the Swans pushing for promotion to the Premier League.

Speaking to the Western Mail Scott said “I’m not far away (from 20 goals) now, if I can keep playing well then hopefully I will reach it

“I’ve still got a lot to give. I’m happy with my goals but it comes from playing in a great team.

“They are supplying me with the chances to score the goals and if I can keep working hard then hopefully I can keep scoring goals and the team can move up the table.

“It’s the first time I’ve ever had two penalties in five minutes and I’m pleased they went in,” admitted Bath-born Sinclair.

“If I’m taking the penalties then I’ve got to be very confident.

“It was tight in the first half but that’s where I’ve got to come up with different game plans.

“We put together a nice one-two and then led to the opening goal for Prats.

“Sometimes you’ve got to change your normal performance to come up with different things so it’s not easy for them.

“I’ll keep working hard to try and get a few more goals.”
