Ashley Williams has hailed the Swans wingers who have made life so difficult for opposition defenders this season.

Wayne Routledge, Nathan Dyer and Pablo Hernandez all played in last weekend's 4-1 destruction of QPR at the Liberty and Ash hailed the performance of the wingers in that particular game.

“When we play with the three little guys linking up like they did – it is very difficult for the opposition,” said the Wales skipper.

“You don’t want to face the three of them all together in training, let alone a game situation.

“They are a big threat, and ask a lot of question of opposition defences. It’s been a useful option for the manager this season, as we saw again against QPR. It was very similar to the West Brom game at home.

“Hopefully it will bring us more success.”

Ash is out with the squad at the moment in Dubai where they are enjoying a break in the sun before coming back to take on Liverpool at Anfield on Sunday

“We have done well over a hectic period. I think we have deserved this considering the results we’ve had,” added Williams.

“It’s great to get away, get some sun on the body and the joints, recharge the batteries and bond even more.

“Everyone knows now that they have to be at the top of their game when you get an opportunity to play in this team.

“And with some massive games coming up, including the game at Liverpool and the Capital One Cup Final, everyone needs to be sharp and ready.

“So this trip is ideal for us.”
