Twins Peaked? Departures set at Bloomfield Road

Two questions that Lee Clark will have asked when he arrived at Bloomfield Road. 1. Who's behind me and 2. Who's up for the fight? Already, it seems, there are some who are ready to follow Jose Riga out of the door and that is entirely understandable. Not surprisingly it's the foreign contingency who are making a beeline for the exit but whether anyone will come in for them could be the issue.

Especially as the first two names on the list - the Oriol Twins - appear to come with a 'buy one, get one free' offer. Joan and Edu are two out of the four players who Lee Clark has said are available to head out of the club. Whilst they have a bit of flare and the novelty of having identical twins on the pitch lasted about 30 minutes in one game, it's questionable what the duo really brought to the team. Joan always looked wanting at left back and Edu very quickly ran out of steam in games. The twins have been at clubs together before and you'd presume they were hoping for a move back to the continent rather than end up at somewhere like Hartlepool. In truth, it's highly unlikely that another Championship team would come in for the two of them.

Sergei Zenjov was a big disappointment at the start of the season for Blackpool and arguably the best that Blackpool fans saw of him was a searching run for Estonia in the first couple of minutes of their Euro 2016 qualifier against Europe. The winger has offered very little and hasn't featured at all since Clark came in. It appears that he was one on the now infamous 'Riga List' and was his first signing at the club. Finally Fermose Mendy has also been put up for a move. His appearances for Blackpool have been instantly forgettable and it's little surprise that he's now being made available to head out of the club.

Whilst four players have been sidelined, Clark is now looking at other options to shake things up at the seaside and is currently looking at 7 players. Only at Blackpool can an international break, which most clubs will see as a two week breathing space, see so much frenetic activity taking place before Bolton arrive a week on Saturday.
