Saints At Everton The Preview
Friday, 3rd Apr 2015 18:15

Saints have to win tomorrow to keep their challenge for the top five going and to keep lingering hopes of the Champions League alive .

Goodson Park will be a big big test for Saints spirit on Saturday, yet again they are hampered by an injury in a crucial position and it is going to be a case of staring adversity in the face and coming out the other side stronger for it.

Saints have to have the confidence of a team in the top six of the League rather than go there with the weight of almost two decades without a win at Everton weighing them down.

As a squad we are old enough to get a result and that result has to be three points, its the business end of the season now and we have to go to form in the games we play from now to the end of it.

The plus points far outweigh the bad ones and the likes of Shane Long and Graziano Pelle all have the confidence of a goal in midweek to boost them, he game has to be taken to Everton and not give them the chance to get on top,

Hopefully Everton will already have their heads in the holiday brochures and with nothing really to play for perhaps the spur of Saints keeping Liverpool out of a op five spot will give Saints an de in front of an Everton crowd who would perhaps have the blow o a home defeat softened by seeing their big rivals overtaken by Saints.

Ronald Koeman now has to keep weaving his magic and keeping his squad fresh and on the ball, if he does that then it could be a big step forward again.
