Reading Winger Flattered By Swans Interest

Reading and Wales winger Hal Robson-Kanu says he is flattered by the interest he is reported to have from the Swans which seems like a clear hint that he would be open to the move if it were to materialise.

Although it has been reported by national media that the Swans have made two bids for the player, the local Reading press insists that no formal approach has come from the Swans to grab the player who is playing his part in Wales' current great form that could see them grace a major international finals next summer.

Nothing has been confirmed by Swansea in terms of interest but it is becoming more widely rumoured that the Swans would like to make Robson-Kanu a signing at the Liberty despite Garry Monk's comments that his summer spending spree could be completed.

But whatever happens Robson-Kanu is a man who wants to return to the Premier League as he told Get Reading “It’s always nice to hear clubs are interested in you

“Every player wants to experience the best atmospheres and stadiums week-in and week-out.

“The season I had in the Premier League, I scored seven goals that year and was one of the stand out performers. It gave me the confidence and belief I could play at that well.

“The Premier League brought out the best in me and I make no qualms in saying it’s where I want to be.

“It’s my dream to play there again whether it’s with Reading or someone else.

“When the time comes, I’m sure the right decision will be made.

“I’ve got a year left on my contract, they haven’t offered me a new contract. I’ve been at the club for over ten years, it’s been a fantastic ten years.”
