Theo Walcott's smart finish gave the Gunners a half-time lead but Arsène Wenger's side saved their best for the second half. Santi Cazorla fired in from the edge of the box after a sustained spell of pressure and Mesut Ozil added a third from Cazorla's second assist of the match.

Ross Barkley grabbed a consolation for Everton who had to be content with the runners-up spot

Stoke City wrapped up their 10-day stay in the Far East with a comfortable 2-0 victory over Singapore Select XI in the 2015 Barclays Asia Trophy Third Place Play-Off on Saturday.

Steve Sidwell’s sixth minute strike and a well-taken Marko Arnautovic effort, after the interval, rounded off another worthwhile exercise for Mark Hughes’ side as they brought the curtain down upon their first maiden trip to South East Asia.

Potters boss Mark Hughes: “It’s been a really good trip, an incredibly worthwhile one that we can take plenty of positive from

“We have had two good games out here — demanding ones considering the condition out here and the quality of the opposition we have faced.

“The guys have come through it really well though and they have produced some good football, and are looking fitter and stronger as a consequence of the work we have carried out during the past nine or ten days."
