Under-21s Face West Brom Tonight

The Swans Under-21s will be in action against their West Brom counterparts at the Liberty Stadium this evening with a 7pm kick off as they start off their new season looking to match the excellent performance of the first team on Saturday

A reasonable crowd is expected for the game with season ticket holders able to get into the ground for the sum of just £1 as the team play at category one status for the first time

It was a good season last time around for the team as they won the Development League Two title but this is a different level for them and promises to really be a test for the team but good for us in the long run as they test themselves against better opposition.

Head of academy coaching David Adams told the official site “I think we will be competitive, we are well organised, we have a good defensive shape and in possession we are always hard to play against.

“There is no doubt this season will be challenging but I think the way we play our game will help us in the league. For me the most important thing is for us to keep our identity, stick to our principles and ultimately try to produce players for the first team.”
