Adams On Under-21s West Brom Defeat

David Adams watched the Swans Under-21s fall to defeat in their first Category One match against West Brom last night but he was taking the positives from the game in an all too familiar story.

Adams talked about the Swans dominating the game but not taking their chances which is something we hear several times a season for the first team but when you dominate games you will always end up winning more than you lose.

It was quite a test for the Swans who almost got the draw they deserved but were beaten by a late goal to start their season with a defeat.

“Despite the result, I thought the performance was excellent,” said Adams

“We dominated important aspects of the game, we moved the ball and pressed well, we did all the things we wanted to do in terms of our game plan. It is obviously disappointing to lose but we need to look at the bigger picture and take the positives away from a result like this.”

The Swans now face a trip to Brighton next Monday for the second game in their campaign that will also take in games against the likes of Arsenal and Chelsea

“A game like this will be a learning tool for our team in category one football this season. Tonight shows we are more than capable of competing against teams in this league and at this level "
