After the excitement (and to an extent disappointment?) of last week's season opening game at Chelsea, Wales only Premier League club are back at home this weekend when they entertain Newcastle United at the Liberty Stadium.

The Swans could easily be going into this game with a 100% record to protect but we certainly will be heading into the game on the hunt for a great start to our Liberty campaign as we seek to make it a fortress again this season.

Newcastle could of course quite easily not be a Premier League club this time around having only survived relegation on the last day of the last campaign but they went into this season with renewed optimism following a change in management in the summer and they gained a good solid 2-2 draw themselves last weekend against Southampton.

It promises to be a record crowd at the Liberty tomorrow. There was some small work done back in the summer to ensure that there are over 21,000 seats available and with just 40 available last night it looks set to be a complete sell out as we welcome back in the Premier League our record breaking team.

It still sometimes seems a little odd going into any game at this level believing that we will win but such is the optimism at the moment I am not sure that there will be many who believe different. That should of course not lead to complacency from the team but knowing the detail that Garry Monk goes into then it won't.

Whatever happens though on the pitch tomorrow we owe it to the players to be behind them from the opening whistle and make the difference especially as there will be more of us than ever before.

Garry Monk surprised quite a few last week when he left Jack Cork on the bench and preferred to fit in both Shelvey and Sigurdsson which was not something that many of us expected.

He also selected Jefferson Montero when most were probably thinking Routledge and I am sure that Ivanovic still wishes it had been Wayne such was the torrid time that he had all afternoon.

Cork of course came on for Ki in the first half and whether the South Korean is fit or not I firmly believe that he will take a place on the bench at best as I don't think Garry will tweak with his side too much leaving us lining up like this.

I do have a feeling though that we may be seeing a debut for Franck Tabanou. I think in games like this his attacking threat will be something that we want to use so it wouldn't surprise me to see a change there at all.

Score Prediction

I won't remind anyone here too much but I did predict a draw against Chelsea in last week's match preview (although I didn't in the Prediction League - need to have the courage of my convictions)

The Prediction League entries this week tell us quite simply that most are expecting the Swans to win and I am no different on this occasion. No matter how I look at it I can only see a Swansea win and I am going to plump with a 3-1 scoreline with goals from Gomis, Sigurdsson and Shelvey.

Last week it was great to see football back, this week it is great to see football back at the Liberty Stadium - safe travels to everyone who is making the trip from afar and here's to three points for the Swans and that record crowd!
