King - Crewe Style Is The Same To The Swans

Things are being done in a pretty comprehensive way at the Liberty Stadium these days and you would imagine that ensuring that players out on loan continue in a style we want them to play in is quite important to us as well.

If Adam King is therefore to be believed we know exactly why there are so many players linked between us and Crewe as the on loan midfielder believes that the style of football played is the similar.

King scored for Crewe in midweek as they exited the Capital One Cup but he is expected to play again today against Scunthorpe as part of his six month loan deal with the Alex.

King is still rated highly at the Liberty but it was felt that at this stage of his career a loan move playing first team football was more beneficial than playing for the Under-21s with us so the Swans were only too happy to complete the deal a few weeks back.

“I was told about the way that Crewe try to play football is brilliant and similar to my parent club,” King said.

“I think that’s only going to stand me in good stead for the future.

“I came here looking to get some games under my belt and playing for a good club, but adding goals to my game would be a big bonus.

“I like to keep the ball, but goals for any midfielder are ideal.

“Like any football team there’s going to be competition and that will only push your standards up

“There are people on your toes all the time so to stay in the team will be a big achievement.

“When you’ve got people like Chris Atkinson on the bench, to start in a team like this with the options we have is really good.”
