Montero To Bayern Munich? Not Going To Happen...

So then Jefferson Montero is being named in an article of people that Bayern Munich could go for as they want a new winger but come on, really, it isn't going to happen - well at least not at this moment in time anyway.

We know how good Montero is. Callum Chambers knows how good Montero is. Branislav Ivanovic knows how good Montero is and slowly but surely the rest of the world Is waking up to how good Montero is. But at this point in time to many of them - as an article in yesterday's Daily Mail (I know, I know) he has only played two good games - Chelsea and Newcastle this season.

What we are saying is simply that to the main football world Montero is someone who did little last season and has played a couple of good games this season.

That is not a slight on Pep Guardiola who is in charge in Munich as I am sure that his knowledge is more detailed than Martin Samuels is. However, what he won't be doing at the moment is making Montero a Munich player not until he has performed over a longer period of time and I firmly believe at the moment that goes for any of the bigger clubs (remember Rio Ferdinand suggested last weekend that a top four club should be looking to sign him)

Montero is an absolute gem for us and we know that he can make some very good defenders look very ordinary but the good news for us is that we will hold onto him for this season but with every passing top performance there will be more people taking an interest and then there could be some genuine links with clubs who would like to take him away from the Liberty.

But for now he is a Swansea player and he will remain a Swansea player.
