Late Surge In Ticket Sales For FC Midtjylland
Thursday, 20th Aug 2015 10:29

Saints fans intending to walk up on the night and buy tickets for the Europa League game with FC Midtjylland may need to get there early after a late surge in ticket sales.

Saints supporters who have not yet bought a ticket for this evening's Europa League game with FC Midtjylland are being advised to get to the ground early with a big walk up expected this evening after a late surge in ticket sales over the past few days.

At the start of the week it looked like the crowd might struggle to top the 22,000 mark, but a rush of ticket sales means that the crowd could well approach the 30,000 mark if there is a big walk up,

Most of the ground has extremely limited availability apart from two blocks in the Northam End usually taken up by away supporters, indeed block 43 another block usually occupied by away fans has only around 20 seats left in it. In total the Northam End probably has about 1,500 left as of 9am this morning, mostly in blocks 44 & 45.

Apart from these two blocks the rest of the ground is pretty full with just odd rows of seats still unsold in the Itchen/Chapel corner and the family centre, these are at the very back of very front and perhaps in total account for around 1,500 seats.

So at a rough estimate only around 3,000 seats remain for tonight's game and this could backfire on supporters who intended to walk up on the night with the possibility of big queues in the hour up to the game.

With prices so cheap compared to a normal Premier League game this is the type of game that sees big turnouts on the night, so the advice is to book your seats on line or over the phone during the day and collect your tickets before kick off to save queueing.
