How Did We Do In The Transfer Window
Tuesday, 1st Sep 2015 07:00 by Planet Swans (follow us on Twitter @swansnews)

It seems like ages since we did the main transfer dealings in this window and there is a clear reason for that - it is, thanks mainly to the excellent work done at the start of the summer by Garry Monk and Huw Jenkins.

Garry has always said since the team returned to pre-season training that he wanted to have a full pre-season working with them and he achieved that and his philosophy is clearly paying dividends when you look at the Premier League table as the window is about to close.

The official closure of the window is this evening but there is expected to be minimal activity at the club with a couple of departures possible but nobody expected to arrive.

That probably will not prevent Sky Sports having a reporter at the stadium but the truth will probably remain that Franck Tabanou, Kristoffer Nordfeldt, Andre Ayew and Eder will be the additions into the club in this particular window.

That activity though has left us in the position that we are able to field two completely different sides as we proved in last week's Capital One Cup win over York at the Liberty. To have options in every position is a great situation to be in and when the window does eventually close then Garry and Huw must surely sit back with a smug look of satisfaction on their faces.

And let us not forget that not only have we added to the strength of the squad but we have not lost anyone from the squad and there are not likely even in the departures to be any significant ones that will weaken us.

Time will tell but based on the early evidence you would suggest that this is one of our most successful transfer windows to date but what do you think? Share your thoughts in the poll below

The transfer window is shutting, how do you rate our dealings? (1=low, 10=high)
