The Swans have joined Everton, Newcastle, West Ham and Aston Villa in tracking Leeds United's Sam Byram who is in the last year of his contract at Elland Road.

Swans scouts are reported to have watched Leeds United's game with Brentford at the weekend and it is assumed that following their interest back in the summer that they are tracking the highly rated Byram.

It was reported in the summer transfer window that we made a bid for the player that was turned down and with him out of contract next summer there is every chance that we may be back in January for the player.

The youngster played the full 90 minutes on Saturday, and was deployed on the right hand side of midfield as Leeds drew 1-1 with Brentford.

It was Wales Online that reported the bid back in the summer that was reported as being turned down by Leeds who were keen to keep hold of one of their brightest talents for their Championship campaign this year.

The Swans are not alone with the clutch of clubs all watching Byram and the outcome of the contract discussions he is currently having with Leeds.
