England, Russia And Slovakia Await Wales

Wales have been paired up with England, and Slovakia in the Euro 2016 finals draw that took place in Paris this evening.

Wales will open their campaign in Bordeaux on June 11 against Slovakia before facing England in Lens five days later. They will close up against Russia in Toulouse on June 20.

The England draw was one that Chris Coleman did not want ahead of the draw but I am sure he will take the rest of the group as a good chance of Welsh qualification?

It is probably fair to say that Group E will be labelled "The group of death" after they were paired with Spain, Italy and Belgium whilst there is every chance of progress for Gylfi Sigurdsson after they were placed in the slightly easier looking Group F

The groups in full:

Group A
France, Romania, Albania, Switzerland

Group B
England, Russia, Wales, Slovakia

Group C
Germany, Ukraine, Poland, Northern Ireland

Group D
Spain, Czech Republic, Turkey, Croatia

Group E
Belgium, Italy, Republic of Ireland, Sweden

Group F
Portugal, Iceland, Austria, Hungary
