QPR Reserves Draw at Gillingham
QPR Reserves Draw at Gillingham
Wednesday, 17th Dec 2008 21:50

Samuel Di Carmine and Emmanuel Ledesma were on target as QPR Reserves drew 2-2 with Gillingham at the Priestfield Stadium this afternoon.

On loan left back, Gary Borrowdale made his first appearance for the R's in what was a slighlty stronger reserve line up than in previous outings. The R's were two goals up within half an hour through Di Carmine and Ledesma, but the pair were taken off at the interval and the second half saw Gillingham pull back to 2-2.

Despite the result, Reserve Team Boss, Gareth Ainsworth told the Official QPR Website;

We're experimenting a lot with the Reserves at the moment in an attempt to replicate what we're doing at First Team level. Of course it will take time to get the message over completely, but the early signs are positive.

We played some very good football in the first half and created numerous chances. Unfortunately, we didn't take them and credit to Gillingham, they improved dramatically in the second half

And on Gary Borrowdale;

Gary gave a very accomplished display. He is a good passer of the football and all in all I was very impressed with his performance.

QPR Reserves: Putnins, Ainsworth, Borrowdale, Brown, Maguire, Harris, Oastler, Alberti, Di Carmine (German 46), Ledesma (Flood 46), Rose (Parker 70).

QPR Reserves next scheduled game is at home to Charlton on Tuesday 6th January 2009, kick off 2pm

All QPR Reserve Team home matches are played at Loftus Road with a 2pm kick off.
