Swans Fans In Confident Mood Ahead Of Bournemouth Visit
Saturday, 31st Dec 2016 10:02 by Planet Swans (follow us on Twitter @swansnews)

It is amazing what a change in management can do and that is certainly the case as far as optimism goes amongst Swans fans who, according to our latest Twitter poll, are pretty confident that Alan Curtis can lead the side to victory this afternoon to end the year on a high.

It is probably fair to say that this afternoon is as close to a must win game as any game since we arrived at this level back in 2011 and it is vital that we get a win to send us into 2017 with hopes higher that we can get out of the relegation zone that we find ourselves in.

Last night's 2-2 draw between Hull and Everton has left us going into today's game back at the bottom of the division and still on the look out for a new manager following the departure of Bob Bradley on Tuesday.

We have lost our last three games in comprehensive style - 3-0 at West Brom, 3-1 at Middlesbrough and 4-1 at home to West Hame - but fans are clearly confident that we can put that behind us starting this afternoon and get the result that we so desperately need against Bournemouth this afternoon.

Over 450 people have voted of far in the poll with 57% tipping the Swans to get the win, compared to just 29% for Bournemouth. 14% are currently predicting a draw.

All we can hope now is that the Twitter population is reflective of what will happen on the pitch.

The departure of Bradley was an inevitable one following the meek way the side have surrendered in the last few games and there does appear to be a feeling around the club that we can turn a corner under Curtis and then the appointment of the right manager longer term
