Happy New Year From Planet Swans
Sunday, 1st Jan 2017 00:29 by Planet Swans (follow us on Twitter @swansnews)b

2017 is upon us and from all at Planet Swans we would like to wish all our readers a very happy and prosperous New Year and we have to say that with the hope that our football team may just start showing some fight on the pitch to give us some hope that maybe we could stay up.

It is fair to say that 2016 was not the best for footballing reasons as a Swans fan although we do have the tremendous memories that Wales' summer in France gave us on the march to the European Championship semi finals

As a Swans fan though we completely lost our way over the last twelve months (and arguably before that) with any style that we had left on the field finally evaporating away and the meek way we ended the year was nothing short of embarrassing.

We have to reverse that in 2017 and get some style, identity and fight back into our play and I hope that wherever they are this evening we have a group of players who are deciding that this is what they need to do.

From a website perspective, the site recorded a hugely impressive 19,305,155 page views during the past twelve months but we are disappointed at our coverage of the Swans which for large periods of the year has been non existent and this is something that we intend to change in 2017.

You can check back daily on Planet Swans and expect to see updates, news and views on activities at the Liberty Stadium which should generate talking points and interest and of course you will always have available our forum where discussion is always lively and varied with a host of views on what is happening regards the Swans

Matchdays are always more lively with immediate reactions on games from those not there and very quick views shared shortly after the games

We aim to get Planet Swans back to what it used to be in terms of bringing you news and views over the next twelve months and have an aim to break beyond the 20 million page view this time around building on the success of 2016

A happy new year to all our readers and Swans fans worldwide
